Posturemax® High Back Operator Chair with Head and Neck Support

The Posturemax® High Back Operator chair with tilt adjustable head and neck support offers a unique combination of features and is ergonomically designed to provide total body support and provide maximum levels of comfort to all users despite the variety of human shapes and sizes. These features help to avoid the posture and back problems often caused by poorly designed seating. It is structurally suitable for 24 hour (tested to BS5459 Part2-2000) and multi-user situations which makes it extremely strong.

Recently upgraded, this popular back care chair now comes with the more adjustable synchro/plus mechanism with seat slide as standard.

Also available as a High Back without headrest.

The standard chair without arms offers the following features to which can be added a choice of arms, chrome base and coat hanger:

  • REFLEXION Pressure relief foam on both seat and back. Built in layers and reacting to natural body heat to provide comfort, stability and the distribution of weight to avoid the build up of pressure points
  • Tilt adjustable head and neck support - upholstered to match your chair and provide extra support for the upper spine and neck.
  • Back height adjustment to ensure the correct vertical positioning of the lumbar support
  • Adjustable lumbar - you have full control of the air cell within the back which is operated while seated by a hand bulb with the option of fitting the even more flexible Variable Contact Back which gives more targetted support to those with back problems
  • The new Synchro/Plus seat mechanism adds even more adjustability to this chair. The back and seat may be adjusted together as before, but now the seat tilt can be fixed at the ideal angle for you and the back adjusted separately to give a greater range of back and seat angle options.
  • Seat slide to accomodate taller or larger users is now a standard feature of the chair (Adds versatility particularly where the chair is to be used in a multi-user situation)
  • Black base fitted as standard. A chrome base is available as an option.
  • Fabrics: Choose your fabric type according to how the chair will be used and whether you require low or medium hazard fire resistance. For chairs in 24 hour or intense usage situations we recommend the 24/7 fabric. (See the Fabric Factsheet for further details of this fabric)
  • 5 year manufacturers structural guarantee

Because no user is the same we offer the following optional extras so you can personalise your chair to meet your need or, in multi-user situations, to ensure that all users can adjust the seat according to their personal shape and size: 

  • Arms - Height adjustable or multi-functional adjustable arPosturemax P83 Variable Contact Backms are available for additional support for the upper body and arms whilst using the keyboard and mouse
  • Variable Contact Back - few chairs have the opportunity to change the shape of the back rest to suit your personal shape. 3 air cells are independently inflatable to provide support where you need it at different points vertically in the back rest. Those with specific back problems should find it easier to provide support exactly where needed.
  • Chrome Base - a nice finishing touch!
